Join us at OWL's SoCal Chapter Holiday Event for a festive evening of networking and celebration.

We'll enjoy a tour of STAAR's new Experience Center, as well as network building activities.

This event is graciously hosted by STAAR Surgical Company.


Ophthalmic World Leaders invites event attendees to bring along a toy to donate to Beyond Blindness, which empowers children with visual impairments and other disabilities to achieve their fullest potential.

OWL members and guests are invited to bring along a toy with them to increase our impact in the SoCal community.**

**Beyond Blindness has provided a curated list of toys that are especially suitable for the children they serve - here is the Amazon Wishlist. The toys are very reasonable and a nice way to make a child’s day. For anyone who prefers to shop in person, the Family Support team at Beyond Blindness has prepared a brief guide outlining the types of toys that best meet the needs of their kiddos:


“Inclusive toys for children ages 0–12 who are visually impaired or have other disabilities are greatly appreciated. Ideal donations include multi-sensory toys that offer sound, texture, or vibration; musical instruments; high-contrast or brightly colored items; and simple toys that encourage exploration and motor development. Examples include music toys, sensory toys, toys with lights, sorting and learning toys, fine-motor toys, auditory toys, and tactile toys.”
